Alyson graduated with a BA Hons Fine Art in 1986. She had a number of exhibitions following this, but after becoming a primary school teacher and having a daughter in 1997, art got put on the back burner for a decade. Alyson has recently started a sabbatical from teaching in order to concentrate on her painting and has started exhibiting and selling again. Though born in the South East, Alyson has lived in the north of England for nearly thirty years.
"My paintings are of moments. I saw something, it caught my attention, so I painted it. Sometimes almost straight away, sometimes years later."
