Steve Capper

At the age of 11, Steve attended Manchester School of Art, moving on to the Manchester College of Art in 1962. Bretton Hall College followed before a 30 year career as head of art at a local school.
Steve took early retirement in 1996 to concentrate on his own art career.
He lives and works near Oldham where the Pennine Hills have a major influence on his work. The shapes and patterns of hills and valleys provide an ideal vehicle for Steve's work and his use of colour enhances and emphasises particular aspects of each scene.
Steve has exhibited in many prestigious galleries throughout the UK and now has many collectors.
