Each spring since 2016, Heather at the Picture House Gallery in Padiham, in conjuction with Burnley Borough Council has organised a plein air art event in our lovely town of Padiham. Artists are invited to take part in a competition to complete a painting or drawing of somewhere in Padiham within one day, usually the 2nd Saturday of May. Prizes are awarded and lots of side events take place as well for all the family. For visitors, a map is produced to show the location of the artists who are happy to engage with everyone.
PAINTING PADIHAM 2020 has sadly been postponed, however the event took place online with artists taking aprt from home over a longer time period. The results were fabulous and are for sale here.
